I'm Jae, founder of ForeverBlue Studio. I started photographing events because I noticed something: the best moments of a gathering almost always happen off to the side — a laugh between old friends, a toast nobody planned, the quiet after a big reveal. Most photographers wait for the "main shot." I go looking for the ones in between.

I left a stable in-house photography job to build this studio from scratch, because I wanted to work directly with the people throwing the event — not just hand off files to a marketing department. That choice means I show up as a partner, not a vendor.

My approach comes down to three things: joyful, human, timeless. I want your guests to feel like themselves in every frame — not posed, not performed. That's why I split my attention between candid documentation and quick professional portraits, so nobody misses out on either.

Speed matters too. I deliver highlight photos the same day your event happens, so the moment is still alive on social media while your guests are still talking about it — not two weeks later when the energy's gone.

Over the past few years I've shot everything from corporate grand openings and international trade exhibitions to weddings, galas, and community celebrations across Chicago — including repeat work for LS ELECTRIC, UIC, and Golf VX. I know how to move through a room without getting in the way of it.

But the through-line isn't the client size or the event type — it's the guests. I'm there to make sure the people who showed up for you feel seen, and the people who couldn't make it wish they had.
